Some personnel of the Main Branch and HR Department represented Balibago Waterworks in the “Bayanihan sa Tubig-Kanlungan 2”, a tree-planting activity organized by the Abacan River and Angeles Watershed Advocacy Council, Inc. (ARAW-ACI) and City Government of Angeles City on June 16, 2022.
Around 1,000 seedlings were planted on a one-hectare land at Sitio Target, Brgy. Sapangbato, Angeles City. This project is part of the reforestation program under the Angeles Watershed Rehabilitation Project.
Other public, private, and non-profit organizations that participated in the event are Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC), Subic-Clark Railway Project (SCRP), Porac Bank, De La Salle Alumni Association-Pampanga, and Pampanga Press Club.
Balibago Waterworks wishes to further strengthen its environmental protection initiatives and take a more active role in the protection of watersheds in the country. This participation is a testament and a stepping stone toward that greater and noble objective.
