Balibago Waterworks Celebrates Inauguration and Blessing of Poblacion 2 Pump Station in Sta. Teresita Branch

Santa Teresita, Batangas – Balibago Waterworks System, Inc. (BWSI) – Sta. Teresita Branch officially inaugurated and blessed its newly established Pumping Station in Poblacion 2 on Friday, April 11, 2025, marking a significant milestone in enhancing water distribution and ensuring reliable service for the local community. The pump station, which was energized in December 2024, promises to deliver consistent and quality water supply to residents.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of key local government officials, including the Honorable Mayor Norberto A. Segunial Jr., Vice Mayor Maria Aurea Segunial, alongside members of the Sanggunian Bayan Councilors and representatives from various LGU units. Also in attendance were key figures from Balibago Waterworks, including President Ms. Criselle Alejandro, Vice President for Operations Mr. Mark Oliver Araullo, Area Manager Mr. Mark Joseph Singcay, Branch Manager Mylene Jumayao and her branch staffs.
The newly operational deep well has current production capacity of 55 gallons per minute (GPM), presently serving an initial 101 customers in Poblacion 2 with a continuous 24-hour supply and a peak pressure of 16 psi. Looking ahead, BWSI has plans to expand its reach, targeting to serve an additional 900 households across the next seven barangays within the municipality this year.
The project has been a long-awaited aspiration for both the Local Government Unit and the community of Santa Teresita, who have eagerly anticipated a more strong and dependable water source. The inauguration ceremony featured a symbolic ribbon-cutting, followed by the opening of a faucet and the drinking of fresh water directly from the newly operational deep well, signifying the culmination of collaborative efforts.
In his address, Mayor Segunial emphasized the critical need for a reliable and quality water service for the town of Santa Teresita, expressing his gratitude that this long-held wish had been granted by Balibago Waterworks. He also shared a personal anecdote from his youth, recalling the challenges of living without a dependable water source and the difficult task of fetching water to f ill drums.
BWSI President Ms. Criselle Alejandro proudly spoke about the trust placed in Balibago Waterworks by the Sta. Teresita LGU in partnering to create a better water service for its people. She highlighted that this endeavor aligns perfectly with Balibago Waterworks' vision to be the most trusted water brand in water service and distribution throughout the Philippines. The successful inauguration of the Poblacion 2 pump station underscores BWSI's commitment to providing reliable and high-quality water services to communities not only in Calabarzon region, but in the whole Philippines.
